A Butterfly Summer!

For the past three years, I have been following a dream. I haven't always been sure where the path was leading, but I've trusted that if I would just keep skipping, that the way would be revealed to me. This summer, I am in Indiana putting the final touches on a book about my experience. Here's how my literary agent describes it in the proposal she is currently pitching to top New York publishers......

"By trying something that sounded nuts but actually took guts, Kim Corbin proved the power of positive energy. Now, her short, sweet message will inspire readers to resist society's pressure to conform, and guide them to feel free to shine their inner light."

Many thanks to Carolyn Tyler, aka The Cheesehead Skipper for sending in this beautiful butterfly poem that she wrote!!!

Freedom

Butterfly, butterfly,
flit as you will.
The flowers have blossomed,
the wind is still.
Your freedom to roam
is a symbol to us all
who are forced and beaten
and pushed to crawl.

Crawl I may,
crawl I might.
But when I get
to the top of the hill,.
I'll stand in the wind
to yell, "I'm free!"
Because I can catch you,
but you can't catch me.
